A San Francisco spot makes the list of the 10 best burger restaurants
(NEXSTAR) – You’re not kidding Texas. And you are definitely not kidding with their burgers.
A new ranking of the 10 best burger restaurants in the United States determined that Beck’s Prime, with locations in Greater Houston and Dallas, was the best place to grab a burger. But fans outside of Lone Star State can still try some of the best burgers in the country, but not the best – in ranked restaurants across the country.
The ranking was established by the “informed professionals” of Gayot, a restaurant and lifestyle resource that positions itself as “the guide to good living”. But the burgers on Gayot’s list aren’t just for chic foodies; the ranking includes restaurants that serve both traditional and “luxury” versions of the humble burger.
Beck’s Prime, who ranked # 1, took first place for their grilled mesquite patties, made with house ground Angus beef. Gayot even rated the restaurant’s Blue Cheese Burger, saying it was worth the wait even when drive-thru lines “resume in the evening.”
In second and third, respectively, were Burger Joint in New York and Cherry Cricket in Denver, Colorado. The former, which is hidden behind a curtain near the lobby of the Parker New York hotel, received a special mention for its no-frills approach to grilled burgers, while the latter made the list of its ‘parade’ of options. burgers and a long list of toppings (e.g. peanut butter, green pepper strips, chicharrones, etc.).
