Couple of women assaulted for parking space in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) – A couple are recovering after being attacked outside their Mission District apartment on Saturday.
Police are investigating the assault, which occurred in a parking space.
The couple told KRON4 that they didn’t even want a parking space, they were just moving a car so someone could come out of a driveway.
“It’s scary. They said they have guns,” Alicia Franzolini. “That they’re going to shoot us. It’s scary.”
Franzolini and his wife Claudia say they are scared and still in shock.
They were temporarily parked in their owner’s driveway, near 15th Street and Valencia Street.
He had stopped behind them but needed to back up so the couple could leave. He backed up behind him when another car tried to jump in the same spot.
He came out to explain the situation to the driver, when a woman across the street intervened.
“When the neighbor, she comes out and hits Craig’s car and she just hits it with her hand,” Franzolini said.
Franzolini was still in his car, watching what was going on.
Fearing for the safety of her owner, she got out of the car.
“She’s beside himself, like super vicious,” Franzolini said. “She starts yelling obscenities at me.”
Franzolini said she was trying to explain that they didn’t want a parking spot – they just needed to back up and her owner would pull out.
The woman started calling him by name and talking about his sexuality.
It was then that Franzolini’s wife, Claudia, got out of the car to protect her.
“The lady’s daughter comes out of nowhere and then tries to attack Claudia,” Franzolini said.
After the fight was over, the woman got back into their car and the owner got into his. But the two suspects returned.
“They came and they slaughtered him,” Franzolini said. “And we were in our vehicle trying to stay safe, but the window had a little crack and it sprayed in it.”
Franzolini managed to take two photos.
She called the San Francisco police and they interviewed the victims and witnesses.
They say they are investigating the assault.
“I am in a lot of pain,” said Franzolini. “My neck is dislocated, my wife has been scratched and injured, and my 75-year-old owner who has a pacemaker has been attacked. “
The two women stayed home from work today.
One was wearing her uniform and says she is afraid suspects may target her at work.
The owner is still working on extracting video of the incident for police and said once police get it they will post it.
