ST. GEORGE- Police are looking for a missing man who allegedly traveled to Nevada after being released from a local care facility.
Grant Isamu Okazaki was last seen on September 9. He reportedly boarded a St. George shuttle and arrived in Las Vegas around 3 p.m. PDT, Santa Clara-Ivins Police Sgt. said Reed Briggs. He was dropped off at Harry Reid International Airport.
The 37-year-old was recently released from a care facility and requested transportation resources, Briggs said. He received a ticket to Nevada, where he obtained a list of six additional resources, the details of which were not specified.
Okazaki has been listed as a missing person by the National Crime Information Center because his family and police fear for his safety due to an unspecified mental illness, Briggs said. Details of his diagnosis have not been shared by law enforcement.
