SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — The SAP Center in San Jose will host some of the biggest names in pro wrestling as WWE Raw comes to town.
One of the superstars of the Monday night lineup card, a San Jose native now known as Bayley – back in San Jose like she never left.
“Nothing makes me feel more connected to the fans than when I’m in San Jose,” Bayley said. “It’s just such a connection. And, for WWE, it’s my heart. So I love that I can be that for the city of San Jose.”
At age 10, Pamela Martinez became a pro wrestling superfan idolizing strong female names like Lita and Trish.

After competing in track and field at Independence High School, she grew up and achieved her ultimate dream: to become WWE Superstar Bayley.
San Jose’s only female WWE wrestler is now a third female power group named Damage Control, hoping to inspire the next generation of San Jose female wrestlers who live in her hometown.
“Seeing someone who’s been from where you’re from, eaten at the same restaurants, walked the same streets, just being there, it’s a bit more realistic,” Bayley said.
Bayley now lives in San Jose, although she had to move to start her wrestling career. The competition at the SAP Center is very special.
This is her first time wrestling in her hometown after suffering a serious injury two years ago.

She says the injury has helped her gain a different perspective on her passion and she is happy to be home.
“It also showed me how important my friends and family are, just being able to be home during this time,” Bayley said. “Now to have them all here after this injury is going to be crazy.”
Bayley says she wants to celebrate her SAP Center appearance in a way unique to San Jose.
“I want La Vic to address everyone in the audience. I want Nirvana Soul coffee out front. I want balloons. I want the San Jose Sharks out there,” Bayley said. “No, I’m thrilled my hometown is seeing this new version of me.”
